Hoeveel tuisskolers is daar in Suid-Afrika?

Aangesien meer as 90% van tuisskoolouers nie registreer by die Departement van Onderwys of enige ander instelling nie, was daar tot dusver geen objektiewe of verifieerbare skatting van hoeveel tuisleerders daar in Suid-Afrika is nie. Skattings wat in die pers aangehaal is wissel van 30 000 tot 120 000. In die sensus van 2011 is daar vir die eerste keer ’n vraag oor tuisonderwys (vraag P-18) in die sensus vraelys ingevoer....
