Cape Town Home Education Expo — an opportunity to expand education


On Saturday 6 November, the Cape Home Educators and Kragdag hosted the Cape Town Home Education Expo at the Durbanville Conference Centre. There were multiple helpful lectures on various home education topics, stalls by a variety of resource providers, and even a homeschool youth market for youngsters to sell their own wares. Support Homeschool Associations to meet with Government

The homeschool associations need your support to meet with Department of Basic Education in October and January to discuss new proposed regulations on home education. The Pestalozzi Trust started  2014 with the publication of an article titled : “Homeschooling running into heavy weather”. This article describes how a cooperation has developed between three parties, who  will eventually restrict home education drastically.
