Bouwe is actively involved in the Association for Homeschooling and the Pestalozzi Trust and has taken part in various meeting with Department officials since 2004. With his family he has been running the SAHomeschoolers website since 2010.

Gauteng Department of Education does not recognize homeschool rights

Home education threatened in Northern Ireland

The education board in Northern Ireland has recently released a draft policy which will require mandatory registration, approval to home educate, approval of curriculum, home inspections and interviews with children.
