Join us as Koa Welcomes James Matthes! We’re excited to welcome James Matthes, the Creative Executive Officer of Pressure Cooker Studios, one of Africa’s most respected music and audio production houses based in Cape Town.
Over the past 15 years, James has grown the studio from a basement start-up into one of Africa’s most respected creative production houses, with world-class facilities and a team of 20+ composers, engineers, and sound designers working across film, advertising, animation, and gaming.
At the heart of James’s leadership is a people-first philosophy, creating a culture rooted in collaboration, curiosity, and values. His purpose is to build platforms for talent to flourish and to champion Africa as a global powerhouse of creative potential.
Now, he’s joining us at Koa for a special session - hosted by our Head of Arts and Culture, Majozi - where he’ll share more of his story, insights, and experiences.
